Dr. Ara Mirzaians is a lifelong native of Southern California where he currently resides with his family. His passion for dentistry and oral surgery was ignited after spending many years as a dental assistant during high school and early years of college. He received his bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from the University of California-Irvine in 2010. He then continued his education in Arizona at Midwestern University-College of Dental Medicine where he obtained his dental degree. He subsequently completed a 1 year Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery internship at USC followed by his Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery residency at USC for an additional 4 years.
During Dr. Mirzaians training at USC, he performed extensive surgeries related to facial trauma, orofacial pathology, reconstruction, orthognathic (corrective) jaw surgery, dentoalveolar surgery, dental implants, bone grafting and dental rehabilitation. He also spent a significant portion of his training at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles treating children with cleft lip & palate and craniofacial anomalies.
Dr. Mirzaians’s interests include tennis, culinary arts and weekend getaways with his family.
