Dr. Brent J. Ramsey’s passion for oral surgery and specifically dental implants began when he was an undergraduate student. After an accident on the ice he was left with two broken front teeth- Dr Lang replaced both teeth with dental implants and restored his smile. After this experience his plans to attend Medical school changed to a desire to practice Oral Surgery.
Dr. Ramsey completed dental school training and later oral surgery residency at the University of Southern California which he completed in 2012. In 2013, he purchased an oral surgery practice and settled with his family in Virginia. Dr. Ramsey has placed a special emphasis on dental implant procedures in his practice, placing thousands of dental implants during his practice career. Dr Ramsey has performed successfully All-on-4, a wide variety of multi- and single-unit implant cases, including digitally guided and immediately restored cases.
Originally from the Rocky Mountain state of Idaho, he and his family are happy to be back on the west coast and at Heritage Oral Surgery after 7 years in Virginia. Husband to his wife, Brittany for 16 years, and a father to their seven children, he counts his family as his most important success and endeavor.
Dr. Ramsey believes in giving back to his local community and working to make the world a better place. He enjoys participating in the AYUDA Dental Humanitarian Group. He participated in monthly local California clinics throughout dental school and in international dental missions to locations including Mexico, Bolivia and Paraguay and most recently in Ecuador in 2018. Service has always been important for Dr. Ramsey; prior to dental school he went on a two year religious/community service mission to Brazil, where he became fluent in Portuguese. Dr. Ramsey also speaks Spanish, which he is always happy to do for our Spanish speaking patients.
When he is not at the office, he enjoys outdoor activities such as water skiing, snow skiing and hiking.
